Scientist began as King Tubby's protege at Tubby's Drumalie Avenue Studios in Kingston where he built amplifiers and speakers, tested sound systems, and innovated the use of the studio as a musical instrument.. After The Best Dub Album in The World in 1980 (Scientists first collaboration with THU) In the Kingdom of Dub was the second record Scientist released under his own name in 1981.
